BLURB:
The revelation shatters what Luke believes about himself and forces him to face his destiny.
Will Mary stand by Luke in the face of the coming storm, or will she be swayed by the allure of darkness?

EXCERPT
The ground beneath them succumbed to the warmth of the
midday heat drinking up the moisture and, with it, their relief from the rising
humidity. Luke didn’t mind, he’d withstand any
inferno just to be close to Mary.
The teens shared earbuds and listened to some songs from Imagine Dragons. He turned his head from Mary to gaze up. He had never felt the kind of connection he did with her.
His eyes travelled back to the curves of her lean body. She
was unaware of the beauty that she possessed. Living with the type of father
Araqiel was, Luke was in awe of her ability to see things with such clarity.
The angels gave her an impossible scenario and
she accepted it. She had doubt, but also courage. Her eyes were closed, and he could faintly hear the words of the song she muttered under her breath. He grinned.

Ten Things That Make Me Happy
1. My family and fur babies have always been my greatest treasure. One memory comes to mind that I’ll never forget. I was about ten and I had a huge crush on David Cassidy. I watched The Partridge family faithfully every week. We lived in Long Island, New York, and David was doing a concert at the Steel Pier in New Jersey. It was about a three hour drive away. My mom and dad knew how badly I wanted to go so they bought the tickets and drove me three hours there and three hours back. It was one of the best days ever.
2.Friends. I’ve always kept a small circle of friend close to me. The ones that make me laugh on the silly days, or hold me up on the hard ones. Good friends are priceless.
3. Being an author/writing is my air. There’s no other outlet that can give me the tools to express all the crazy things life throws at us. I love sitting down at my keyboard and letting the floodgates open. Getting it out is like lifting a heavy weight from my shoulders. It lightens my soul. I remember the first time I held a print version of my first book, I felt like I had found my true identity and path in this world.
4. New York/ East Coast will always be my home. No matter where I live, I never feel like I do when I’m in New York. It’s the place that holds all the memories of my grandma.
5. Movies about time travel to the past have always fascinated me. The idea that you could get a glimpse of your goofy teen years, or Christmas through your eyes as a five-year-old with your parents just as excited as you. Some of my favorite movies are Somewhere in Time, Time After Time, and one that really tugs at my heart is Peggy Sue Got Married. She gets to see her grandparents again. Fun fact- I cry every time.
6. Patio dining is my fave way to enjoy a meal. I like the blend of nature with a good meal. It relaxes me. My husband not so much. LOL However, he gives in most of the time.
7. Sharing a glass of wine with friends is always a blast but mix it up with a night of painting and you have a roll off your chair, belly aching good time. Fun fact – I have no art talent at all. I painted a sunflower and when I brought it home my husband (who is definitely an artist) commented on my cool avocado.
8. Going out for breakfast is the coolest. I can never cook breakfast at home like I can order in a restaurant. It makes me happy. Also, I usually don’t have peanut butter, chocolate drizzle, with whip cream and pecan pancakes at home.
9. Homemade chocolate pudding will always be a favorite because of my mom. She would make it for dessert for us all the time when I was a kid. My brother and I would examine the bowls and try to get the one that had the most.
10. Binge watching TV shows is my way of decompressing. I’m really into limited series now because I love knowing I’m going to get a beginning, middle and end, like a book.
